THE PROPERTY
The University Club’s main building is a modern, air-conditioned structure designed and built by James Gamble Rogers in 1948. Subsequent additions have expanded the facility to include the Main Hall with an open stage, the Library, the Reading Room, the Gallery, the Boardroom, offices, a kitchen, and three restrooms. Recently, a patio, fountain, and gazebo were added to the grounds, all funded by our members.
Ample parking is available on Club property, and access ramps into the clubhouse meet ADA requirements.
Making Music
OUR VIDEOS
Our Club has recorded many of its activities, including guest speakers, entertainment, and presentations on history, foreign affairs, and other topics. These recordings are available on our YouTube page. Most videos can be accessed by the public with a simple click. However, due to copyright and contractual matters, some videos are exclusively available to members through the Members Only webpage.
Current Events
OUR MEDIA LIBRARY
The Club’s Library houses over 6,000 books and audio-visual materials available for members’ use, with new acquisitions arriving frequently.
The collection also includes more than 500 books authored by past and present Club members.
Books are shelved and available for checkout in the Library and the adjacent Reading Room.
The Club offers several versatile meeting areas:
- Main Hall: With a capacity of 120, the Main Hall can be configured for a wide variety of events, such as theater performances, movie screenings, opera, lunches, and dinners. It offers complete flexibility in table and seating arrangements and features an antique Zuber woodblock print mural as the stage backdrop.
- Library: Accommodates up to 60 people.
- Gallery: Accommodates up to 40 people.
- Boardroom: Accommodates up to 20 people.
Modern audio-visual, lighting, CCTV, and recording systems are available to support speakers and performance presentations in these spaces.
The Club’s award-winning (Finalist in the 2023 Best Event Venue of Winter Park) facilities are available for rent. Nonprofit organizations and members (after their first year) receive discounts.
